Luluvise - Social network launched for girls; boys banned........>

A social networking website- Luluvsive.com has been launched by a 30-year-old Canadian woman exclusively for females.

The website went live on Dec 17 and has been described as "Sex And The City marries Facebook".

According to The Daily Mail report, the site Luluvise.com bans males from joining. Interestingly, more than 500 men sent their emails to get access to the site but instead received an email reading- "Hey Dude, you're a dude."

"Luluvise uses Facebook to make registration easier. We do not post to walls or make Luluvise information public anywhere or to other Facebook users," said creator Alexandra Chong.

Meanwhile, the site has around 1,000 users in 69 countries.

The Daily Mail report however, said that men can also access the site but they need to set up a fake Facebook profile as a woman and make friends with themselves on that social network.

Datawind, the maker of the world's cheapest tablet has put up for sale about 30,000 tablets online at a price of Rs 2500 each, with a delivery period of seven days. The seven inch tablet with Android 2.2 is now available through its portal aakashtablet.com.

"We have put up on sale about 30,000 tablets online, which will have a cash on delivery of 7 days. We have achieved pre-sale orders of about 400,000 tablets from individuals and corporates. But current supplies will only be limited for individual buyers," Datawind CEO and founder Suneet Singh Tuli told ET.

Aakash's next commercial version called the Ubislate 7, which has a faster processor, is slated to be launched late January. Ubislate 7 is set to have a 700 Mhz processor compared to the 366 MHz processor in Aakash. Ubislate 7 will be priced at Rs 3000 for sale online.

The government till now procured only 10,000 tablets. It has still not procured the remaining 90,000 tablets for distribution in schools and colleges, even as other nations have expressed interest to the government for similar low-cost computing initiatives.

Google has launched an invitation-only website called Schemer. The site's goal seems to help users to discover new things and share schemes with others using Google+.

Whether it's exploring a new city, checking out a friend's movie recommendation, or just finding new activities for your weekends, Schemer lets you discover new things to do, share schemes with friends, and make the most of your day. Think you're up for it? Join Schemer," says the site announcement.

As per the site, users can find stuff to do, big and small; keep track of what they want to do; and get ideas from celebrities, experts and friends.

"We started out as a scrappy team of Google engineers who wanted to help people do fun stuff in the real world," the Schemer team said in a post on Google+.

The site's partners include Food Network, Zagat, Bravo, IGN, Entertainment Weekly, National Geographic, and Thrillist among others.

The service, which is in beta presently, is reserved to a few members who can invite others via invitation. "Still don't have your invite? Fret not! There are some sneaky ways you can get invited too," says the Schemer team's post. "Of course, you can always try your luck at Schemer.com but you can also keep a lookout for our partners' Google+ pages...you never know when an invitation may pop up!"

Gmail seems to be changing by giving new attractive look to attract more and more users to use gmail and it might be possible that their intention behind this that people should try Google plus more and more.

The Web search giant accidentally slipped out a video on YouTube that gives a preview of the upcoming changes in its popular email service with Jason Cornwell (Gmail's user experience designer) sharing a presentation.

The video, which was immediately pulled out and has since then been marked private, revealed that the new Gmail will feature new changes like a cleaner design, updated search box that includes advanced options, new interface for conversations and high-resolution themes.

The new user interface will also reportedly automatically fit in any window and will boast of cleaner, simpler, and intuitive look. It is also likely to allow users to resize the chat and label areas. The revamped Gmail will also let email threads in Gmail to include profile pictures.

ISRO's Bhuvan is better than Google Earth

The satellite based 3D mapping application from Indian Satellite Research Organization (ISRO) Bhuvan will enable users to take satellite data more closely compared to Google Earth.

Bhuvan has advanced features than the Google Earth as it allow users to zoom far closer than the aerial view from a chopper.

The Google earth shows details up to 200 meters of distance and Wikimapia shows up to 50 meters. But Bhuvan will show images up to 10 meters, which means a user can view details up to a three floor high building

The registered users will be able to browse and download satellite data through the ISRO's National Remote Sensing Centre's Open Earth Observation Data Archive situated at different cities of India.

Finally Google has opened the door to Google plus for whole world, after 90 days trial google has launched it's new AVATAR for the whole world.

The announcement was made by Google in its blog post that said the services of Google Plus can now be availed by all.Earlier, the service was available by invitation only.The new feature that has been added to the popular Google Plus is a search capability that allows users to crawl through posts on the site.

Clubbing social networking with technology, Google Plus has made its "Hangouts" feature available on smartphones with front-facing cameras. This feature enables users to broadcast their videos online or view these videos as spectators. The feature currently works on phones that runs on Google's Android system. They have also claimed that support for Apple devices is in the pipeline.

"Hangouts should keep pace with how you socialize in the real-world, so today we're launching it on the one device that's always by your side: your mobile phone," senior vice president of engineering Vic Gundotra said on the blog post.

For its part, Facebook said it was introducing a new " ticker" on its users' home pages, providing real-time notifications of what friends are doing on the service. Facebook also revamped the service's main news feed to flag important items.

Facebook is the world's No.1 social networking service, with more than 750 million users. The company has rolled out a series of improvements to its service recently, many of which seem designed to match features Google has used to set apart its rival social networking service, Google+.

Google's infant social network, which counts Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg as a member, has met skepticism so far. Some are waiting to see if it can maintain the rapid momentum of its first months.

Finally, the much-awaited day, Sept 13 has come when Microsoft is all set to unveil Windows 8 to the world. The next-generation Windows 8 is to be debuted at its Build developer's conference, starting today, Sept 13.

Windows 8 will have two personalities: One will be similar to the desktop version of Windows 7. The other will be a tablet skin that looks a lot like the Windows Phone interface.

According to Microsoft, Windows 8 will give computer users the option of navigation through the kind of touch-based interface they've got used to on tablets and smartphones. Google's Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt announcing the arrival of the upcoming version of Android OS termed Ice Cream Sandwich in October or November, speculations have started on the next version of Android.

Jelly Bean is the working name for next incarnation of Android. The name follows Google's tradition of calling its Android operating systems after sweets in alphabetical order. Earlier versions of Android follow a typical order -- Cupcake 1.5, Donut 1.6, Eclair 2.1, Froyo 2.2, Gingerbread 2.3, Honeycomb 3.0 and the upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich.

Jelly Bean could be dubbed Android 4.5 or Android 5.0, depending on the amount of features packed.

Ice Cream Sandwich is expected to be a universal operating system that will work on phones, tablets, TVs, and even phones that transform into laptops. Among other things, the OS is likely to bring an updated app launcher, holographic user interface, interactive and new homescreen widgets and a multi-tasking panel.

47% PC users worldwide use pirated software.....>

Almost half of personal computer users around the world get their software illegally, with China's massive market the worst culprit, a report claimed. A Business Software Alliance (BSA) survey showed 47 per cent of PC users globally believe there is nothing wrong with using unauthorized copies of software programs.

The survey of 15,000 PC users in 32 countries showed Chinese users have the most relaxed attitude to piracy. As many as 86 per cent of computer users in the country get their software illegally most or all of the time, the survey showed.

The survey makes it clear that global software piracy is increasing day by day and china is on first position about this issue. The Washington-based BSA is an industry group that works for copyright protection and counts among its members some of the world's biggest technology companies, including Apple, Microsoft, Symantec and Adobe.

Pirated software installations cost the industry nearly $59 billion globally last year. It said in terms of value, China was the world's second-largest culprit behind the US, installing $7.78 billion of stolen programs last year.

According to McAfee report, malware threat on Android device raised to 76 per cent since last quarter, making it the most vulnerable OS in the market. The report noted Android as the 'most attacked mobile operating system.'

"This year we have seen record breaking numbers of malware, especially on mobile devices, where the uptick is in direct correlation to popularity," Vincent Weafer, senior vice president of McAfee Labs, said in a statement.

These malwares may appear in "everything from calendar apps, to comedy apps to SMS messages to a fake Angry Birds updates".

Android over took Nokia's Symbian OS as the most popular target for mobile malware developers. The rise of malware attack on Android may help cyber criminals to steal personal data from Android users.

In this type of additional service Google will send a six digit code on your defined mobile number then after entering user name and password you will be prompted on new page that will ask you to verify that code,after entering that code click on verify then you will be landed on your account. This service will reduce hacking related purpose of those who want to mess with your account.though hacker came to know about your user name and password,he will not be successful to get into your account except the code you received from Google.


Follow the steps to add this service to your account..>


1) First of all open your G mail account in standard view then click on your name at upper right hand side corner on the window. then click on account setting after clicking on that you will see a new page, click on "Using 2 step verification" on that page. you will be on another page.

2) Choose one option: In this option box click on "text message voice message" also you can select smartphone devices categorized below that option. Enter your mobile number there that very regular to you. then click on send code,it will send you a code on your mobile. type that code and click on verify.

3) What if your mobile went missing: For that reason Google has provided ten backup codes that will help you to log in without your mobile but one code is used only once. to copy that codes click on next, next then copy those codes or you can print them by clicking on "print code" button. after that check in [] Yes box then click on next.

4)Add backup phone : On the next page add your backup phone number. then click next,next and you will be on the final procedure stage. on that page click on "turn on 2-step verification " after clicking on that you will sign out from your account.

5)Application specific password: after adding this service you have to generate application specific password if you are using applications like Google picasa, outlook, pop mail etc. to generate app specific password the link will be available in your mail sent by Google. clicking on that link you will be prompted on that page where you can generate app specific password by choosing your application. It requires to paste that password only once, you do not need to memorize it.

There are many procedure with these things, first you have to create shutdown.bat file then you must create outlook account with only gmail id then few setting in rules and alerts,send and receive timing,junk email options.

Your computer might be hiding something from you. and that might be a great Star War movie in your computer. Yes, you can see this movie free on your computer. but there must be internet connection connected to your computer, though it is slow bandwidth it works on all type of connection.....

It is depended upon if your telnet is enable or not. In windows XP it is automatically enabled. so lets start...

1> Goto start-Run...

2> Type or copy the below command in run dialogue box...

3> Then hit enter and see the magic.

Movie in paint.....

:- First start a movie in any player...

:- Then open paint...

:- Now, in the player when movie is being played, press "print screen" button on keyboard....

:- Now, press ctrl+v in paint...

:- Leave the movie player open and don't minimize it...

:- Open paint now and see the movie in the paint.

How to make invisible folder...

Here is a trick to make folder invisible. Just follow the instruction.....

1) Right click on the desktop, make new folder...

2) Right click on the folder and click on rename, then press space key once....

3) Hold Alt key and press 0160....

4) Right click on the folder>properties>customize. Click on change icon...

5) Scroll a bit, you should find some empty spaces, click on any one of them. click OK, you have done it.

Use this type of folder to store you're primary personal documents. But if you click refresh it can be seen on the desktop.

How to hide drives with command prompt.....

Everyone has lot of data on their system, and everyone has secret data. At that time we need to keep that data secure and safe. To hide valuable data we often use Folder Lock software's but sometimes it is hard to remember passwords also virus problems makes work critical.

Now, there is no need to fear because few commands in the command prompt will give you secure way to keep your data as it is. These command are to hide the drives so,

Just follow the instructions.....

1) Go to start- run- type cmd and hit enter..

2) Type- diskpart, a DISKPART prompt will be available then  

Assume that we have three partitions as C,D,E and we want to hide drive E, E drive has vol 3 because it's third position then...

3) Type forward to the diskpart as, "select vol 3". a msg will appear of selected vol......

4) Then to hide that drive type like this,  "remove letter e". a msg will appear. Sometimes you need to restart your system to take proper action.Then your drive will be hidden.

5) To regain that drive type, diskpart then type - select vol 3 then type - assign letter e, hit enter your drive will be set back. 

Just your drive's vol(1,2,3,4,etc) and two commands 'remove' and 'assign'. this really works try at your risk..

Change the 'start' menu name into your name...

Only three steps you can do it...              

                                                                        
 Step1:- Download "resource hacker" software. You can download it using Google. It is free to download.

Step2:- Modify EXPLORER.EXE file.

i)  It is located in c:\windows\explorer.exe
ii) Start resource hacker program, Open explorer.exe.
iii) Expand "string table" and expand "37" change "start" to your name and hit compile script also expand "38" and do the same procedure as like above.
iv) Save the modified "explorer.exe" to your "name.exe". by choosing the option save as.( don't hit to 'save' option, you need to keep explorer.exe back up.) 

Step3:- Modify the registry....

i)  Run the command 'regedit' from start->run->regedit.
ii)  Open the path- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ Current Version\
iii)  Click on "Winlogon"
iv)  In the right side you will find "shell", right click to modify it, in the "value data" portion enter your newly saved explorer, which is your name.exe.
v)  Click "OK" and restart the system.

Friends, plz be careful while doing above process...
If you did any mistake when editing registry, after reboot, XP will load without explorer.exe. Means, nothing will appear on screen except desktop wallpaper !!

If this happen, press Alt+Ctrl+Del, hit "new task" browse and open "c:\windows\explorer.exe".

Now you can browse your system, then open c:\windows\regedit, edit "shell", as you did you in above process to default "explorer.exe".

reboot....

Facebook has begun face detection technology for facebook photos. The technology focuses on decreasing the time waste of "tagging" friends in facebook photos. Currently user uploads photo, click on each face in a photo to tag that photo and continue the process until complete album is tagges. This takes lot of time if there are many photos.

Beware of quake related net scam

The US Computer Emergency Readiness team (US-CERT) said to the computer users to be wary of "potential email scams, fake anti virus and phishing attacks regarding japan earthquake and tsunami disasters."

"Email scams may contain links or attachments which may direct users to phishing or malware-laden website."
"Fake anti virus may come in the form of pop-ups which flash security warnings and ask the user credit card information," it said.

"Phishing emails and websites requesting donation for bogus charitable organizations commonly appear after these types of natural disasters," US-CERT added.

Phishing refers to attempts to steal user names,passwords and other personal information from unsuspecting victims, mostly through emails or instant messages.

Pray for victims killed in this massive calamity. I'm sure they will rise again for fight.
