Google Chrome hacked in five minutes...........>

WASHINGTON: Hackers have defeated Google Chrome for the first time in an annual competition to test the security of the most popular web browser.

A group of French hackers were able to bypass Google security features to gain control of a Windows PC in less than five minutes at the Pwn2own competition in Canada.

Chrome had stood undefeated in the 2011 competition but a French firm, Vupen defeated it this time.

"We wanted to show that Chrome was not unbreakable. Last year, we saw a lot of headlines that no one could hack Chrome. We wanted to make sure it was the first to fall this year," The Telegraph quoted firm's research head Chaouki Bekrar, as saying.

Bekrar said his team had worked for six weeks ahead of the competition to explore vulnerabilities.

He added that his company had also devised a procedure to hack into Firefox and Internet Explorer, but wanted to first demonstrate that Chrome was not invincible.

Vupen had earlier used two previously unknown vulnerabilities to beat Chrome's security, which is perceived to be stronger than rivals Firefox and Internet Explorer because of its use of "sandboxing".

Vupen said it would keep details of how it bypassed Google's sandbox technology private "for our customers".

Apple's new iPad comes with ‘retina display’, better camera..........>

Apple on Wednesday announced a new iPad to replace iPad2. The new tablet sports a 9.7-inch 'retina display' with 2047 x 1536 pixels and is powered by A5X, a processor with two CPU cores and four GPU cores. The new iPad will go on sale on March 16 with price starting from $499 in the US and nine other countries.

In India, the tablet is likely to be launched in a few months. Apple also announced that iPad 2 will remain in the market and its price will be cut by $100. This means that the basic model of iPad 2 will now cost $399.

"Everyone's been wondering who will come out with a tablet that is better than the iPad 2? Everyone's been wondering this," said Tim Cook. "Well, stop wondering. We are."

The company said that the tablet would support LTE connectivity (4G) when it is available. However, despite LTE being a more power-hungry technology, Apple said the iPad would still offer at least nine hours of battery life.

The tablet also comes with an improved rear camera that will be able to record full HD (1080P) videos. Called iSight, the camera will shoot pictures in 5 mega pixels.

Forrester Research claimed on Tuesday Apple has 73% share in tablet market. "No other brand has more than a 6% market share. When we asked consumers which brand of tablet they are considering buying, 61% said Apple, while 24% named Amazon," noted the research firm.

Google's open offer: Hack Chrome browser, get $1m.........>

NEW YORK: Internet search giant Google has announced that it would pay up to one million dollars in prizes to hackers who can expose bugs and vulnerabilities in their Chrome browser.

Calling it a "big learning opportunity," Google staffers Chris Evans and Justin Schuh unveiled three ways in which hackers can win the cash by finding flaws in their technology.

A top prize of 60,000 dollars will go to each hacker who can find a "Full Chrome exploit", a flaw that exists exclusively in Chrome.

The next prize of 40,000 dollars will be paid to those who can find a "Partial Chrome exploit", a bug or flaw in Chrome that may also exist in other programs.

Lastly, Google will give 20,000 dollars "Consolation rewards" to hackers who expose bugs of "exploits" that are not specific to Chrome, but affect users of all Internet browsers, The New York Daily News reports.

"We will issue multiple rewards per category, up to the 1 million dollar limit, on a first-come-first served basis," the Google Chrome Security Team said in a blog post.

Each winner will also score a Chromebook, the report said.

The social networking giant began giving out "White Hat Bug Bounty Program" Visa cards last year, doling out thousands of dollars to hackers who found flaws and paying them on an exclusive debit card, which can be used just like a credit or ATM card.

Follow the steps:

1] First goto start then click on run and type REGEDIT and go to the following path
[ HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\QualityControl]
There will be string value as "_pack", Double click on it.
You will see value data like " This is encrypted password~~~~~~"
(For example "oppujidfu~~~~~" )

2] Ignore the sign ~~~~~~~,
( For example "oppujidfu~~~~" And after ignoring it will be like this
"oppujidfu" )

3] Then just type that in reverse order,
( For example code is "oppujidfu" after converting that in reverse order it will be like this "ufdijuppo" )

4] In this last step, what you need to do is that,
Move each character backward,
Here is the example;
Replace letter 'b' by letter 'a' because 'a' is the letter before 'b',
Replace letter 't' by letter 's' because 's' is the letter before 't', and keep doing it for all.
Characters for that resulted (reverse ordered) word by step3.

( In this tutorial, the converted word by step3 is "ufdijuppo" and after decrypting like step4, it will become "techitoon" )
